Disability and Health Improvement forums

Anglia Community Leisure is committed to playing an active part in the local Forest Heath Disability Forum (established October 2007).

The aims of the forum are to:

  • provide a forum to give people in the Forest Heath area a collective and stronger voice on disability issues to achieve positive outcomes
  • provide a forum for Forest Heath to consult directly with disabled people and organisations representing them, on services and facilities which affect them
  • maintain a network between disability organisations and individuals.
    Membership is open to anyone who is disabled or who represents disabled people including disability organisations.

    A Community Sports Network for the area. West Anglia Sports Partnership. Support community sport and work with Sport Newmarket and Saxon Sport.

    West Suffolk LSP is an umbrella partnership that brings together public sector organisations (such as local councils, the Police and the Primary Care Trust) and representatives from local businesses and voluntary or community groups.

    West Suffolk Community Safety Partnership

    Through the WSCSP and with the local Police and Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT's) we have developed and now deliver a Street Sports Programme across the Forest Heath area. The programme provides specialist sports coaching at identified areas of anti-social behaviour (ASB's), to encourage active participation rather than nuisance.
