Swimming on referral will start with a splash in Forest Heath next month for customers who have been accepted on the Active For Life exercise referral scheme.Active For Life is a scheme for people who are referred to Anglia Community Leisure by a health professional such as a GP, Practice Nurse or physiotherapist because they would benefit from a more active lifestyle. The referral is for 10 weeks and customers usually attend twice a week. Staff at the leisure centres tailor the activities to the customer’s ability and fitness level.Swimming on referral will be available from the beginning of July to complement the existing range of leisure and fitness activities available under the scheme. Qualified swimming instructors will be on hand to offer technique advice, simple training programs, confidence building exercises and more. To take part, customers must already be accepted on the Active For Life scheme. The times will be as follows:
